Calcium Chloride 74%-77%/94%-99% Industry Grade/Food Grade Flakes/Powder/Pellets
Calcium chloride is a chemical consisting of chlorine and calcium with the formula CaCl2. It is a colorless cubic crystal, the appearance of blocky, flake, granular, spherical, powdered solid, slightly toxic, odorless, slightly bitter taste. Calcium chloride releases a lot of heat when dissolved in water, has strong hygroscopic properties, and is easily deliqued when exposed to air. Soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, acetic acid, hydrazine and other polar or protic solvents, but insoluble in low polar or non-polar solvents such as ether, tetrahydrofuran and so on.
Calcium chloride is widely used in industrial and food fields. In industry, it is mainly used in oil drilling, desiccant, snow melting agent, dehydrating agent, refrigerant, antifreeze, early strength agent, dust collector, fogging agent, fire retardant, water treatment agent, refining agent, precipitating agent, coagulant, coagulant, fertilizer granulation, etc., and is also the raw material for the production of other chemical products. In addition, calcium chloride is also used in brine for refrigeration equipment, water treatment agents, road deicing agents and desiccant. In the field of food, calcium chloride as a widely used food additive, generally used in beverages, as an electrolyte, enhance palatability, used in pickled foods, can reduce the use of salt, used in cans, can occur gelatinization, enhance the consistency of sugar porridge, can be used to point tofu, improve the tenderness of tofu.

Physical properties
Colorless cubic crystal, white or off-white, granular, honeycomb block, spherical, irregular granular, powder. Slightly toxic, odorless, slightly bitter taste. It is highly hygroscopic and easily deliquescent when exposed to air. It is easily soluble in water, the solubility is 74.5 g/100g water at 20℃, and a lot of heat is released at the same time (the dissolution enthalpy of calcium chloride is -176.2cal/g), and its aqueous solution is slightly acidic.
main application
Industrial application
1. Used as a multi-purpose desiccant, such as drying of nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide and other gases. Used as a dehydrating agent in the production of alcohols, esters, ethers and acrylic resins. Calcium chloride aqueous solution is an important refrigerant for refrigerators and ice making, which can accelerate the hardening of concrete and increase the cold resistance of building mortar. It is an excellent building antifreeze. It is used as antifogging agent in port, road dust collector and fabric fire retardant. Used as protective agent and refining agent in aluminum-magnesium metallurgy. It is a precipitant for the production of lake pigments. Used for deinking of waste paper processing. It is the raw material for the production of calcium salts.
2. Chelating agents; curing agents; calcium fortifiers; refrigerants for freezing; desiccants; anti-caking agents; antimicrobial agents; pickling agents; tissue improvers.
3. Used as desiccant, road dust collector, antifogging agent, fabric fire retardant, food preservative and for the manufacture of calcium salts
4. Used as lubricant additive
5. Used as analytical reagent
6. Mainly used to treat tetany, urticaria, exudative edema, intestinal and ureteral colic, magnesium poisoning, etc.
7. Used as calcium fortifier, curing agent, chelating agent and desiccant in the food industry.
8. It can increase the permeability of bacterial cell wall.
medical uses
Indications:
1. This product can be used for intestinal colic, etc.
2. It can be used for itchy skin diseases.
3, for the rescue of magnesium salt poisoning.
4. For vitamin D deficiency rickets, osteomalacia, and calcium supplementation for pregnant and lactating women.
5. Treatment of calcium deficiency, acute hypocalcemia, alkalosis and tetany caused by hypoparathyroidism, vitamin D deficiency, etc.;
6. Allergic diseases;
7. Rescue when magnesium poisoning;
8. Rescue of fluorosis;
9. Application during cardiac resuscitation, such as hyperkalemia, hypocalcemia, or rescue of abnormal cardiac function caused by calcium channel blockade.
10. Calcium chloride solution can induce actin monomer to polymerize, and the critical concentration of actin monomer to start polymerizing is inverse-curve function relationship with the concentration of calcium chloride solution. The specific mechanism of actin-induced polymerization is related to the binding of calcium ions to multiple specific sites of the protein
